Japan international Gaku Shibasaki was officially presented at Spanish second-tier side Leganes on Monday.
The 25 year-old former Deprtivo La Coruna, Getafe and Kashima Antlers midfielder will wear the number 8 shirt and has joined ‘Los Pepineros’ (The Cucumber Growers) on a three-year deal.
He’ll be hoping to help Leganes achieve promotion back to La Liga in the 2020-2021 campaaign.
Last term they were relegated, along with Mallorca and Espanyol, after four seasons in the Spanish top flight.
