She is 174cm tall and is a right-handed pitcher. She currently belongs to JD League Bic Camera Takasaki. She started playing softball in the third grade of elementary school, and in her second year at Kyushu Women’s High School (currently Fukuoka University Wakaba High School), she contributed to winning the 1999 World Junior Championship as the ace. After she graduated from high school in 2001, she joined the Hitachi Takasaki Softball Club (currently Bic Camera Women’s Softball Takasaki). She participated in the Beijing Olympics in August 2008, where she played in three games over two days and threw out 413 balls, contributing to the gold medal. She went on to win numerous individual titles in the Japanese League, including MVP, Best Earning Average Award, and Most Winning Pitcher Award. In 2021 she also contributed to the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
