Welcome to the world of Liam Pitchford! We get to know Team GB’s Table Tennis star and 2022 Commonwealth Games gold medalist as he talks about getting into the sport, his celebrity lookalikes and tattoos.
The Chesterfield star started table tennis aged eight and has already competed in the team events in London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, as well as the individual singles in the latter.
Pitchford has also won two silver mixed doubles medals at the Commonwealth Games with his Tokyo teammate Tin-Tin Ho in 2014 and 2018, along with two gold medals in the men’s doubles in 2018 and 2022 alongside Paul Drinkhall.
