WFI and IOA speak differently on Vinesh Phogat not getting physio at Tokyo 2020 Olympics

Tokyo Olympics: Despite the fact that Vinesh Phogat was one of the India’s medal contenders in the Tokyo Olympics, Wrestling Federation of India(WFI) could not find space for Vinesh’s physio Poornima Raman Ngomdir. Poornima was not given the accreditation for the Tokyo Olympic. The Indian Olympic Association (IOA), who allotted the accreditations for the support staff said that it was not there fault. It was National Sports Federation’s(NSF) responsibility to choose the support staff gone to Tokyo. IOA president Narinder Batra said that to provide accreditation for a support staff his or her name should be there on the list otherwise the process becomes too long. It was also learnt that WFI only communicated verbally and there was no writen clarifiaction on the names in the long list.
