Wrestlers Vinesh Phogat has been temporarily suspended by the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI). The federation has accused Vinesh of not following the rules. WFI has alleged that Vinesh had refused to train with the rest of the Indian athletes in the Olympic Village. At the same time, she did not even wear the name of Team India’s official kit sponsor in the Olympics, she wore a Nike singlet in her matches, after which Vinesh has now been sent a three-point notice. While talking to The Lallantop, WFI assistant secretary Vinod Tomar has confirmed the allegations on Vinesh and said that his coach Woller Akos used Vinesh as a training partner to his wife and this costed India an assured medal. Vinesh has to reply to the notice by August 16.
