I love manga as much as I love books, so much that I carve words from manga into my own glove. She is from Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. She is 174cm tall and she hits right-handed. She currently belongs to Bic Camera Women’s Softball Takasaki. She started playing softball in the 3rd grade of elementary school, and when she was in the 2nd year of Kyushu Girls’ High School (currently Wakaba High School attached to Fukuoka University), she contributed to winning the 1999 World Junior Championship as an ace. After she graduated from high school in 2001, she joined the Hitachi Takasaki Softball Club (currently Bic Camera Women’s Softball Takasaki). She contributed to the gold medal in August 2008 at the Beijing Olympics where she threw 413 pitches in two days and three games. After that, she won numerous individual titles such as MVP, Best ERA Award, and Most Winning Pitcher Award in the Japanese League. In 2021 she will also contribute to the Tokyo Olympic gold medal.
