Sanfrecce Hiroshima finish fifth in FIFA Club World Cup:

Post-match reaction after Sanfrecce Hiroshima defeated Ulsan Hyundai in the fifth place play-off of FIFA Club World Cup in Toyota, Japan on Wednesday (12th December).

Hajime Moriyasu, Sanfrecce Hiroshima Coach:
“After a tough season in the J League, we had to quickly prepare for this tournament. We played three matches in such a short space of time. Yet, despite the demanding schedule, the players have excelled in terms of their commitment and professionalism. They have shown the desire to reach another level and I am very pleased with their display. I believe we can build on this experience for next season.”

“We do have own our style and the players have been able to show what we are capable of on the international arena. The players have shown that our style works in this competition and that’s why we have been able to achieve the fifth place. I am very happy that our tactical approach and objectives were achieved.
