Japan head coach Hajime Moriyasu wants his side to “dominate and win” when they face Croatia in the Qatar World Cup’s round of 16 on Monday.
‘The Samurai Blue’ have sprung two of this World Cup’s biggest surprises to date, coming from behind to beat Germany and Spain 2-1.
Those results saw Japan top the final Group E standings and reach the knockout stage for a fourth time in the space of six finals.
Now Moriyasu’s men will look to go one better and become the first Japan squad to reach the quarter-finals at a World Cup.
