Ritsu Doan (Japanese 堂 安 律; born June 16, 1998, Amagasaki, Japan) is a Japanese footballer, midfielder of the German club Arminia and the Japanese national team.
Doan is a graduate of the Japanese club “Gamba Osaka”. Studied at the academy from the age of 13. On June 3, 2015, he made his debut in the J-League in a duel against Kasima Antlers, coming on as a substitute in the 90th minute instead of Xu Kurat. In total, he had two meetings in his debut season. In the 2017 season, he became a player in the main squad. On June 23 of the same year he was loaned to the Dutch club Groningen. On August 13, he made his debut for him in a duel against “Heerenveen”, leaving in the starting lineup and being replaced in the 63rd minute by Tom van Werth.
In August 2019, he moved to PSV.
He made his debut in the Japanese national team on September 11, 2018 in a friendly match with the Costa Rica team.
