After completing a dream move from Hosei University to J1 side Kashima Antlers, 21-year-old striker Ayase Ueda wasted no time in taking his chances when he was finally called up to the first team. The Mito-born player scored four league goals in his rookie season and was subsequently called up to the Japanese National Team by head coach Hajime Moriyasu, making his senior debut in June 2019.
