A children’s canoe competition was held at the Sea Forest Waterway in Koto Ward, Tokyo, and the venue was very lively! This competition has been held since 2012 to get children familiar with the waterside environment such as rivers through canoeing. This time, to commemorate the one year anniversary of the Tokyo 2020 Games, the event was held at the Sea Forest Waterway in Koto Ward, which was used as the venue for the canoe and sprint competitions at the Olympics. A total of 89 students from the 4th to 6th grades of the local elementary school participated, divided into grades and engaged in heated competition. The venue was filled with excitement, with children rowing paddles and parents cheering them on while taking pictures.
