Kye Whyte made history at Tokyo 2020, by winning Team GB’s first-ever BMX racing medal at an Olympic Games.

Whyte finished a whisker behind Dutch rival Niek Kimman, completing the race in a time of 39.167 – only 0.116 off the lead.

After winning his silver, Whyte cheered on training partner Beth Shriever to gold as the duo dominated the event and made history.
