Despite not being included in the Code of Points as of 2024, the Triple L Turn has been attempted by multiple gymnasts in various international competitions throughout the past decade — however, none has been successful in doing so. It consists of a triple turn with the heel of the free leg forward at horizontal and has been given an E-rating by the Technical Committee — the maximum value attributed to dance elements at the moment. As mentioned before, the requirements dictate the position of the free leg must be consistent from beginning to end, meaning the gymnast must complete the three rotations with the leg at 90º or slightly above for it to be credited by the judges.
