“I’m not back, I’m better.”

Sha’Carri Richardson secured her first Olympic gold medal as the anchor of Team USA’s women’s 4×100 relay on Day 14 of the Paris 2024 Olympics. Richardson, alongside Gabby Thomas, Melissa Jefferson, and Twanisha Terry, clocked a season-best time of 41.78 seconds to claim victory. Richardson also earned a silver medal in the 100-meter. The former LSU star was previously suspended by the United States Anti-Doping Agency, which barred her from competing in the 100-meter at the Tokyo Games in 2021 due to a positive test for THC metabolites.
