There was no way to beat Lando Norris in Singapore. The McLaren driver had his opponents under control during the Grand Prix and won by a huge margin. Max Verstappen and Red Bull limited the damage by finishing in second place. Verstappen’s lead in the Formula 1 drivers’ championship shrank to 52 points. McLaren has now gained 41 points over Red Bull in the constructors’ championship. The world champion team is therefore hoping for the US Grand Prix in Austin to turn things around again with new upgrades. Mercedes was fast in qualifying in Singapore. But in the race they went backwards. Mercedes gambled particularly badly with star driver Lewis Hamilton’s strategy and sent the record winner into the Formula 1 race in Singapore on soft tires. In the end, Hamilton finished sixth, while teammate George Russell managed fourth place. Ferrari already struggled in qualifying and with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz could only manage fifth and seventh places. A disappointment for the Italians, who had travelled to the Singapore Grand Prix as one of the favourites. Nico Hülkenberg scored two valuable points in the battle for sixth place in the constructors’ championship against Toro Rosso. Haas is now only four points behind Red Bull’s B team. The fastest lap by Toro Rosso man Daniel Ricciardo shortly before the end of the race caused frustration, especially at McLaren. You can find out why this was the case and why Daniel Ricciardo was competing in what was supposed to be his last Formula 1 race, as well as all the other details about the Singapore GP, in a new episode of Formula Schmidt! #LandoNorris #MaxVerstappen #SingaporeGP #Formula1 #McLaren #RedBullRacing #MercedesF1 #LewisHamilton #GeorgeRussell #Ferrari #CharlesLeclerc #CarlosSainz #NicoHülkenberg #HaasF1 #ToroRosso #DanielRicciardo #FormulaSchmidt #F1Highlights #F1Races #GrandPrix —————————————————- Subscribe to the channel and activate the bell to stay up to date.
