The Nigerian House of Representatives wants to probe the activities of the Federal ministry of sports over the disqualification of some Nigerian athletes at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

Not less than 10 members of the Nigerian contingent were barred from competing at the games including jumper, Ruth Usoro, sprinter Favour Ofili and others.

This was because the athletes did not meet the minimum testing requirements stipulated under rule 15 of the Anti-doping rules.
A lawmaker, Lawrence Ayeni described the incident as a national embarrassment.
