Inspired by pétanque, Boccia is a game of precision and skill, played in a wheelchair by athletes with motor disabilities. Introduced to the Paralympic Games in 1984, it allows these athletes to shine on the international stage. Boccia is played indoors, where each player tries to get their balls closer to a white ball, the “Jack”. An exciting discipline, reflecting diversity and inclusion in sport.
