Suzuki Seiya of the Chicago Cubs started as the third batter and right fielder in a game against the Baltimore Orioles on July 11th local time, and had a great game, with 3 hits and 3 RBIs in 5 at-bats. However, in the bottom of the 3rd inning, the Orioles’ batter Hohei Mateo hit a fly ball to the right. Suzuki Seiya, playing right field, looked up at the ball and headed to where it would land, and it looked like he would be able to catch it with ease, but second baseman Nico Horner ran to catch it and blew Suzuki away before catching it. On social media, Horner did not seem to care at all about Suzuki’s fall, and second baseman Nico Horner has been criticized.
