The Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, set to take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024, will be the 33rd edition of the modern Olympic Games. This event marks the third time Paris will host the Olympics, following the 1900 and 1924 Games. The Olympics will feature many of Paris’s iconic landmarks, with venues such as the Champs-Élysées for cycling, the Eiffel Tower for beach volleyball, and the Seine River for open-water swimming and triathlon events. The opening and closing ceremonies will be held at the Stade de France.

Aiming to be the most sustainable Olympics yet, Paris 2024 focuses on minimizing carbon emissions and promoting eco-friendly practices, with many venues being temporary or repurposed to reduce waste and environmental impact. Breaking (breakdancing) will make its Olympic debut, while sports like surfing, skateboarding, and sport climbing, introduced in Tokyo 2020, will continue to feature. Approximately 10,500 athletes from over 200 nations are expected to compete in 329 events across 32 sports, making the Paris 2024 Olympics a highly anticipated global event.
